Calvin Kline Vox Box
A few weeks ago I recieved a Calvin Kline VoxBox containing a sample of REVEAL (for men). It also contained a little wallet. My husband was resistant at first, but after telling him how good I thought it smells, he eventually gave in and gave it a try. I personally like the scent a lot. It is very modern and not too strong like so many others out there. I would recommend this to all the guys out there. It's a basic scent, so it's one that can be worn for day to day activities.

Rimmel Review
Real quick I wanted to pop in today and write a review on a couple of Rimmel London Products I recieved in my Influenster Frost Voxbox.
The first product is Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eyeliner. It looks just like your average eyeliner, but I found it to apply very easily and it lasted all day. I would buy this again.
The 2nd product is Rimmer Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. This is not something I am a fan of, just because I do not care for liquid eye make up remover. I prefer to use the pads/wipes. Having said that though, this product does work, and if you like liquid eye make up remover, this would be a good product for you.

So, it's been a while
Sorry about that. With the holidays and a health issue, things got a little crazy. But now I'm back. And I'm here today to post about the Frosty VoxBox I received free from Influenster to test and review. My Voxbox contained some very exciting things. The first thing I opted to try was (of course, my inner foodie grabbed this first) the Strawberry Fruit Vines. Let me just start by saying, gummy candy is my absolute favorite. So when I saw gummies in my Voxbox, I was pretty excited. And they certainly did not disappoint. They were very soft and fresh, and just very yummy. I will for sure be buying these from time to time to snack on. Along the same food/drink category, my Voxbox also contained Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea. I loved it. It was really good. I also got a bottle of Thyme, but I have yet to use it, as I am very picky with my spices and I'm not sure what I could make to put this in.
On the beauty side of things, the box contained a new hairbrush, which was so convenient. I've been needing a new one for a while but just never thought to buy it each time I was in the store. So it worked out perfectly. This eco tools cushion brush is different from other hairbrushes because it has clusters of soft bristles, instead of just sporadic plastic bristles. I think that helps it to make my hair feel softer than other brushes do. Rimmel was kind enough to supply the Voxbox with eye make up remover and eyeliner. Both products worked very well for me and I will probably purchase the eyeliner again. As for the eye make up remover, while it did it's job, I prefer eye make up remover wipes over the liquid, so most likely I won't buy this product.
NYC added one of their lipsticks in the color Sugar Plum to the Frosty Voxbox, and I was paranoid about it at first. Looking at it in the tube I thought it would probably be too dark for my fair skin tone, but I was genuinely surprised by it. It didn't go on as dark as it looked, and it went on a lot smoother than some of the more expensive lipsticks. This lipstick is at a price point where I wouldn't mind experimenting with some of the other colors as well.
The final item in my Frosty Voxbox was a sample of No.7 Protect and Perfect Advanced serum. I haven't tried it out yet, but at my age, I don't know that it is really even necessary anyways. I hope you enjoyed hearing about all the cool things in my Frosty Voxbox. If you aren't already signed up for Influenster, feel free to do so using the following link: www.influenster.com/r/536772

Happy Thanksgiving!
So I know it's 2 days past Thanksgiving, but I wanted to write a post about it anyways and wish y'all a happy one. I hope you got to spend lots of time with your friends and family. I spent mine working, and sleeping, with glimpses of my family and friends in between, the perks of working retail during the holidays. But I do enjoy this time of year, even the heavy work load and crazy hours that go along with it. In fact, right now I'm gearing up for an overnight shift.
But really what I feel compelled to write about today is some of the things I am thankful for. I am thankful for my job. It is my livelihood. Without it, I would have no money, and seeing as how I love to go shopping and spend money, I need it. People always say I have so much more potential than to waste my time working retail, but I really enjoy what I do, and most of the people who I do it with, so I keep going. I've now been there for 6.5 years, and although there have been some bad days, most of them are pretty good, so I say I'm pretty blessed.
I am also thankful for my parents. They have molded me into the woman I am today, and without their influence and constant love and support who knows where I'd be. They taught me so many values and while we may have grown apart some in the nearly 3 years that I've lived out of their house, I know they will always be there for me and encourage and support me.
The same goes for the rest of my family. I know we don't see each other often, but when we do it is always very special and moments that will leave long lasting memories in all of our minds.
I'm also thankful for a great group of friends. I know life is hectic, and between work and life in general we don't get to see each other as often as we did back when we were just "kids," but I hope you all know how much I appreciate your friendship.
The most important thing I am thankful for is my husband, Judd. Knowing him for close to 7 years, and being married about 2 and a half years, has been just the most incredible journey. We have shared so many memories and adventures together and I look forward to what life has in store for us in the years to come. Without him I don't know where I'd be, but I can guarantee I would not be in as happy of a place as I am right now.
So as the holidays come and go, I hope y'all take a few minutes and think about all of your own blessings, and not just get so caught up in the daily grind that you forget who you are and where you came from. Remember what the holidays are all about and enjoy them.
Peace.

Introduction
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. It is something I have always wanted to do, but never really got around to it. This is my first attempt at blogging, so bear with me, and feel free to leave me comments.
I guess before we get too far along I should introduce myself. My name is Ally. I am 24 years old, and happily married for 2 years now. Over the course of my life, I have been exposed to many things, and all of those things make me who I am today. Some of my hobbies are things that will be included in this blog, because why make a blog about only one topic, when I could make it about so many more?!
Here is a list of things you can expect to see on my blog:
Recipes
Crafts
Couponing Tips
Freebies/Free Samples
Product Reviews
Make Up and Nail Polish
Fashion
Music
Book Reviews
...and more!
Once again, I thank you for checking out my blog, and I look forward to sharing my life with y'all!
xoxo,
Ally
